As the local project manager for national construction firm based in Denver acted as local liaison between client, construction management, general contractor and local sub base.  Client CM and GC all located out of state.  Refresh of 100k square foot office space for international software company for Jones Lang LaSalle.

 

2001-                      Owner,  Pingo,  Truckee/Tahoe

Pingo is an award winning Architectural Design, Construction, Marketing, Graphic Design little devil of a company.  Pingo focuses on high end projects that require attention to detail when solving dynamic design problems.  Projects located North Lake Tahoe and Central Texas.

 

2010-1011            Project Manager,  CH Development,  Truckee/Tahoe

As operations manager, oversaw the construction, transportation, assembly and fit out of Phase 2 of Hopkins Village.  Project comprised of 4 units of a total 50 modular duplex town homes.  Each townhome is made up of 8 modulars and is 2 story.  Coordinated multi-agency approvals for code compliance.  Units are workforce housing offered for sale to employees of Martis Camp, Truckee, CA for DMB/Highlands Group.

 

2006-20011          Vice President, Marketing and Special Projects,  Robert Marr Construction,  Truckee/Tahoe

Secured over $150 million in work bid by firm, emphasis on resort commercial.

Worked as direct liaison between owners and developers for large scale commercial projects.  Projects included multi-unit fractional residences, infrastructure buildings for golf courses, private residences and resort facility buildings.

Project/Construction Manager for 6,000 square foot residence located on the Stagecoach run at Heavenly Valley, NV.  Very steep site with limited staging constraints.  Met with detail oriented homeowner on a daily basis and managed numerous change orders in design and construction.

Project manager for 6 Workforce Housing Units, Phase One of Hopkins Village Martis Camp, Truckee, CA for DMB/Highlands Group.  Factory built modular construction.

Project Manager for the 2007 Sunset Magazine Idea House, led core relationships with developer, publisher, national corporate sponsors and design consultants.  Expedited local agency approvals.  4,000 SqFt residence, +$1,000/SqFt, completed in 11 months.  GreenBuilt Certified, 92 rating.

CMO in charge of producing and propagating corporate ID, marketing collateral and websites.   Applied for nominations and firm was awarded Contractors Assoc. of Truckee/Tahoe - Builder of the Year, 2004.  Alternative Building Methods - Project of the Year, 2007.

 

1998-2003            Project Designer,  MWA Architects, Truckee/Tahoe

Jr. Architect.  Designed, produced construction drawings and provided construction administration for over a dozen high end custom homes located in and around Lake Tahoe, $400-1,000/SqFt.  Applied for approvals from stringent design review boards including Tahoe Regional Planning Assoc. TRPA.  Won multiple awards for homes located in Lahontan, Truckee, CA.  Obtained national press for firm as a result of awards in SKI, Sunset and Tahoe Quarterly.

 

1997                       Sabbatical,  de Bruin-Judge,  Auckland, NZ

Millworker.  Traveled to New Zealand with the intent of broadening knowledge of furniture construction.  Worked hands on fabricating and designing the highest wood crafts in New Zealand.  Implemented CAD/CAM automation to the production side of millwork plant.

 

1991-1997            Project Designer,  Salsano Fahim Architects,  New York

Jr. Architect.  Grew with a small 4 man office to a 30 person firm whose most notable job was consolidating 1,000,000 square feet of office space to Jersey City, NJ and New York City, NY for Lehman Brothers.  Managed and implemented computerization and CAD for the entire firm.  Created drafting standards.  Personally managed construction administration for five floors of interior remodel at the World Trade Center, NY, NY.  Worked under Ulrich Franzen FAIA producing drawings for BMW’s prototype showroom to be used nationwide, Roslyn, NY.  Produced millwork package for custom trading desks for stock trading floor, CitiBank, NY, NY

 

1990                       Intern Architect,  Swanke Hayden Connell Architects,  London

Gained knowledge of how to create construction detailing by coordinating various professional trades to produce a complete set of construction documents.  Focused learning on the historic renovation of Wren House for the Kuwait Real Estate Holding Company, London, UK.
